The movement of our animals is our primary tool of environmental regeneration; ensuring they are in the right place at the right time. We could not do this without hundreds of kilometres of fences.
The more bunched the animals are, the greater the impact they have on the environment through their hooves, dung and urine.
Fences cannot compete with predators causing a stampede of hundreds or thousands of animals but they are the best approximation we have.
