The farm is much drier than we would wish but the weather has given us the opportunity to graze more intensively than we would during more bountiful times.
When the grass is green and growing we move the mob across the landscape quickly, leaving plenty of energy for the plants to continue their growth.
When it is dormant, like now, growth rate is a non-factor so we can bunch the mob into small spaces forcing them to eat all of the grass under their hooves from delicious and nutritious to the less so.
It beats spraying.
