After months of following the cows, always a few days behind, the bulls have joined the mob and been given free rein to do what they were born to do.
We keep all of our cows together in a single mob which means that all of the bulls are together too, theoretically fighting over the same cows. However, perhaps surprisingly, for the first few weeks there are generally very few disagreements, there is too much to keep them occupied. Why fight when you can have sex?
All too soon from their perspective (if I can empathise), most of the cows will have been joined and it is time to remove most of the bulls. Some will remain for the cows that cycle again but soon their time will be up too.
