It is the final day of July and we are noticing the long-awaited signs of our grasses beginning to grow.
This has not been an ideal year for grass farmers with the rain waiting until the frosts arrived but warm weather should change the landscape dramatically.
There is an abundance of moisture in the soil but our dormant grasses have not been able to employ it to any great effect. That is the nature of our winters but, thankfully, it is only a matter of time.
