Top Creek, which winds across the bottom of our farm, is clear and flowing after the winter rain. Walking along its banks, the sound of running water is somewhat offset by the screeching of cockatoos but it is an idyllic scene nonetheless.
Statuesque wallabies, burly wallaroos, wombat excavations; it is brimming with biodiversity. They make themselves scarce when our cattle come through on their occasional graze but they return as soon as the cattle move on to new pasture.
We could do without the leeches though.
