It is shearing time on the farm again.
This comes around every 9 months or so and it is not the big pay-day it once was when the merino was the only breed of sheep anyone considered.
The meat from our composite sheep may be marvellous but their wool will never find its way to any high-quality Italian mills. Still, it is still better off than on.
