We didn't bring pigs onto the farm to move one step closer to Old McDonald - they have an important role to play in our attempt to ever-improve our little corner of the planet.
Give a pig soil under its feet and it will inevitably try to cultivate it. Group fifty pigs together in a few hundred square metres and they can do wonderful things.
By moving all of our pigs every week we are attempting to harness their instincts to breathe life into the soil, allowing microbes to flourish and plants to establish and spread which benefits everything that calls our farm home.
